West Shore RCMP received call from a supected drug dealer, reporting the theft of hid drugs

The West Shore RCMP are investigating a peculiar case after a suspected drug dealer called in to report the theft of his drugs.

Police received a call on Tuesday from an 18-year-old male who said he was bear sprayed and then robbed near the bus loop at the Juan De Fuca Recreation Centre in Colwood.

Investigators answered the call and found out that the caller was actually a suspected drug dealer who was allegedly selling Xanax pills at the time of the robbery. He described being jumped by two male suspects who stole the pills and an undisclosed amount of cash.

West Shore RCMP Frontline officers found the suspects a short time later after they had used the stolen money to purchase liquor.

The suspects were identified as youth males, ages 15 and 19 who were both arrested. Police have seized the Xanax pills, liquor and bear spray from them.

The investigation into all involved parties is ongoing.

On Friday, the West Shore RCMP seized drugs, cash and 25 guns in a drug trafficking investigation.

The West Shore RCMP have recently increased patrols throughout the West Shore. If you see something suspicious, you are asked to report it right away.
