The Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) says it is looking for more than 100 volunteers for the first-ever Lights of Wonder at Centennial Square this December.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. The DVBA says volunteers will meet new people give back to the community and support the Lights of Wonder Giving Booth for local charities. The volunteer application deadline is Nov. 29.

The association is also accepting sponsorship and vendor applications for the event, which runs from Dec. 13 to Dec. 30.

The vendor applications are for prepared food and beverage. The DVBA is accepting applications for up to six food and beverage vendors. The application deadline for vendors is Nov. 1.

For sponsorship opportunities, the DVBA will be accepting applications from businesses and community organizations. The application deadline for sponsorship is Nov. 1.

The business association recently purchased a $500,000 light display for Centennial Square. The display will be a smaller-scale version of a large light display called “Enchant Christmas” that has lit up Seattle’s T-Mobile Park in recent years.

The attraction will allow visitors to walk through a large lightscape and take entertainment and local vendors. The organization is also considering offering a beer/wine garden.

All applications can be found on the DVBA website here.
