The Nanaimo Ladysmith School District says Dover Bay Secondary will be closed on Monday and Tuesday since the school does not have electricity.
On Dec. 9, an on-site transformer failed, which has left the school with no power.
Facilities are working to resolve the issue.
The district says the two-day closure may be longer but it will be at least until Tuesday.
“While we don’t know how long the outage will last, we should have a better idea on Monday afternoon and will be communicating an update at that time,” the district said in an email.
