In what has been an unusually warm October, more than a dozen daily temperature records were broken across B.C. yesterday ahead of what’s expected to be another hot weekend.
Port Alberni hit a high of 25.7 degrees on Oct. 14, beating out the previous record of 22.2 set in 1907.
The Vernon area hit a high of 20.2 degrees when its previous record of 19.4 was set in 1916
Other record-breaking spots for the day were: Bella Bella, Cache Creek, Comox, Courtenay, Hope, Mackenzie, Malahat, Pemberton, Puntzi, Sechelt and Victoria harbour.
