Cumberland to introduce Stage 1 water restrictions

Watering restrictions are coming in Cumberland.

The Village of Cumberland announced that their water system will move to Stage 1 restrictions starting on May 1.

Under Stage 1, lawn sprinkling is permitted between the hours of 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Wednesday and Saturday for even-numbered addresses and Thursday and Sunday for odd-numbered addresses.

People can also water trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetables with a sprinkler on any day between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
