If you live in the Village of Cumberland and are planning on shooting off fireworks this Halloween, you will need to get a permit.
The Village of Cumberland is reminding residents that a permit is required for Halloween fireworks on private properties located within the village.
Permits will only be issued and valid for Halloween displays on private property between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Oct. 31, the village says.
Firework displays must not take place on the road right-of-way or any other public property and permits must also be obtained at least two business days before Halloween, according to the village’s website.
To apply for a permit, residents are asked to fill out an application form and e-mail a completed copy to [email protected].
