The company responsible for recycling collection in the CRD has advised there will be service disruptions once again this week.

Emterra Environmental says it is struggling with staffing shortages this week, which is expected to impact recycling collection.

“Emterra Environmental has just advised that service disruptions are expected to continue again this week due to a staffing shortage,” CRD said to CHEK News in an email.

Scheduled collection until Aug. 5 is expected to be impacted.

If your recycling isn’t collected by 9 p.m. you are advised to leave materials at the curb to be collected on another day.

“If your recyclable materials are not recovered within 48 hours of your scheduled collection day, please send your address to [email protected],” CRD says in a statement on its website.

This is the third week that recycling collection was impacted. The previous two weeks were due to the heat.
