
A crash on Highway 1 near Chemainus closed the southbound lanes Sunday afternoon.
According to Drive BC, the crash caused the highway to be closed from just after 12 p.m. until around 2 p.m. The highway is now reopened with heavy congestion.

Witness video shows traffic backed up for several kilometres after what appears to be a vehicle rollover.
Several police officers and vehicles were on the scene along with emergency crews and a vehicle can be seen laying on its side.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and there were no injuries reported so far, according to BC RCMP spokesperson Chris Manseau.
