Gillespie Road in Sooke is closed in both directions at Roche Cove after a crash brought down a hydro pole Tuesday evening.
Sooke RCMP, fire crews and BC Hydro are at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Grouse Nest. Sooke RCMP said Gillespie Road at Roche Cove is closed until further notice.
According to the Sooke Fire Department, one vehicle was involved in the collision and occupants were trapped.
The collision also knocked out power in the area. BC Hydro said 1,505 customers in Sooke and Metchosin are without power west of La Bonne Road and east of West Coast Road.
