Students and staff at secondary school in Qualicum Beach may have been exposed to COVID-19.
School District 69 said in a press release that they were informed on Monday afternoon about an individual at Kwalikum Secondary School who recently tested positive for COVID-19.
They say the individual last attended Kwalikum Secondary School on Nov. 19.
“Public health staff are completing contact tracing to identify any individuals needing to self-isolate and self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms,” the school district said in its press release.
The district also says those who have not received a phone call from public health workers should continue to attend school and monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms.
Kwalikum Secondary School is located at 266 Village Way in Qualicum Beach.
