Comox Valley RCMP says a Courtenay man who was wanted for going door-to-door in a scam targeting seniors has been arrested.
Police had warrants out for the arrest of 53-year-old Joseph Ouimette on two counts of breach of probation.
Ouimette faces charges after targeting residents, particularly seniors, by going door-to-door offering services such as gutter cleaning, yard work or other handyman services.
Police are reminding residents to be wary of people coming to your door and to ask for proper credentials and research the company before accepting service.
