According to the Saanich Police Department, officers were at 5:45 a.m. by a motorist who reportedly saw a cougar in the 1000-block of McKenzie Avenue, near Quadra Street.
A cougar could possibly be wandering around a Saanich neighbourhood.
According to the Saanich Police Department, officers were at 5:45 a.m. Nov. 1. by a motorist who reportedly saw a cougar in the 1000-block of McKenzie Avenue, near Quadra Street.
Officers patrolled the area looking for the cougar but did not find any such animal and no other sightings have been reported.
Conservation officers have been advised, however, the department is advising residents to be mindful of their surroundings.
