Cool Aid’s Gala Fundraiser preview

Trying to end the homeless crisis in Greater Victoria, and provide some much-needed support for the city’s most vulnerable, is the aim of a big event on Saturday, May 13.

Preparations are underway at Ship Point for the Cool Aid Society’s first-ever Homecoming gala Saturday night, May 13.

All proceeds from the event, billed as “a night out to end all nights out” will go to support the homeless, those at risk of homelessness, and new supportive housing projects.

Event coordinator Aidan Henry explains that “we’re going to have people down here, and there’s going to be food, drink and music and of course a lot of fundraising, so it should be fun.”

The event was originally scheduled for September 2016, but had to be post-poned at the last minute due to the Royal Visit.
