RCMP in the Comox Valley are investigating after receiving reports of a distressed woman inside a vehicle.

According to the Comox Valley RCMP, they received two reports about who was crying, asking for help, and potentially trying to get out of a vehicle that was seen driving in Courtenay at around 3:15 p.m.

The vehicle was reportedly seen driving around the Lockwell Road and Fraser Road area and both callers reported similar circumstances — a distraught woman sitting in the front passenger seat who appeared to be attempting to leave the vehicle.

“The observations of these two callers might not be anything untoward; however, after two calls of a similar nature, our level of concern is such that we would like to locate the vehicle as soon as possible so we can confirm this woman is alright,” said Const. Monika Terragni, media relations officer with the Comox Valley RCMP.

The woman is described as a Caucasian in her 30s with long dark hair while the driver is described as a Caucasian male in his 40s, possibly wearing glasses.

Meanwhile, the vehicle is described as a five to seven-year-old grey Chrysler sedan with a B.C. licence plate number MT7611.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP immediately at 250-338-1321 or 911.
