Comox Valley boil water notice rescinded

The Comox Valley Regional District and Island Health have lifted a boil water notice for all users of the valley's water system.

Residents in the Comox Valley no longer need to boil their water.

The Comox Valley Regional District and Island Health say they have lifted the boil water notice for all users of the valley’s water system.

“The CVRD and Island Health have confirmed that water quality in the system is now safely within provincial drinking water guidelines,” the regional district said in a media release.

A boil water notice had been issued on Jan. 2 and affected roughly 45,000 residents living in the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, and the Comox Valley Water Local Service Area.
