Comox RCMP seek missing 22-year-old man

Mounties on Vancouver Island are hoping the public can help them locate a missing 22-year-old man who failed to show up for work.

Matthew Stanfield, 22, was believed to have last been seen in Mill Bay on the morning of Feb. 24, according to the Comox Valley RCMP.

Police say Stanfield did not show up for work on Feb. 23 and has stopped communicating with his family and friends.

“This is out of character for Matthew and his family is worried,” said Const. Monika Terragni, media relations officer with the Comox Valley RCMP, said in a press release.

Stanfield is described as a 325 pound male over six feet in height. He has brownish red hair and brown eyes and is likely driving his blue 2014 Dodge Ram truck with B.C. licence plate RJ 8795.
