Coho ferry out of service Monday for 3 weeks due to maintenance

The Coho ferry working between Victoria and Port Angeles will be out of service starting Monday for regularly scheduled maintenance.

The work will take three weeks and passengers can reserve tickets for its return on Feb. 7.

Black Ball Ferry Line’s says no major work is being done, and that there will be some re-painting and grinding done while it is in dry dock.

The M.V. Coho is a 341 feet ferry that has a passenger capacity of 1000 and vehicle capacity of 115. The route one-way takes about 90-minutes.

The vessel was built in Washington and went into service in 1959.
