Claremont basketball big man commits to UVIC in Grade 11 year

WATCH: Claremont High’s Ethan Boag is still in his Grade 11 year, but the 6’8” center has already committed to play at the University of Victoria for the 2020-2021 season.

Boag has participated in UVic’s development camps since he was 12, and the Vikes’ coaches have kept a watchful eye on his development all the way through middle school to this point.

Most high school athletes wait until their senior year to commit to a post-secondary school, but the Vikes started discussions early, and Ethan was fully on-board to achieve his life-long dream of becoming a Vike.
