Despite the wet weather, thousands of people turned out to watch the 17th Annual Island Equipment Owners Association Truck Light Convoy and Food Drive.
80 commercial trucks decked out in festive decorations and colourful lights rolled through the Capital Region last night.
The Christmas Convoy travelled 35 kilometers through six municipalities.
Organizers say the purpose of the event is to spread Christmas cheer and raise awareness for those in need.
Over the past 17 years, the event has collected more than 148,000 pounds of non-perishable food products for local food banks.
