CHEK News is gearing up for a road trip.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 23, CHEK News will broadcast its flagship newscasts from several communities across Vancouver Island. Stacy Ross and Paul Haysom will co-anchor two hours of news from 5-7 p.m. starting in Campbell River. Also hitting the road are The Upside Guys, Jeff King and Ed Bain, who will be broadcasting live from various locations on Vancouver Island.

During the weeklong event, CHEK’s newscast will feature the top stories of the day, as well as local stories from each community with live appearances from special guests, as well as special prizes highlighting local Vancouver Island businesses.

Here’s where CHEK News will be:

  • Oct. 23 – Campbell River
  • Oct. 24 – Tofino & Ucluelet
  • Oct. 25 – Nanaimo & Parksville
  • Oct. 26 – Cowichan Valley
  • Oct. 27 – Victoria’s Inner Harbour

It’s been four years since CHEK News took its newscast on the road. In 2019 CHEK News did a similar tour of Vancouver Island as part of the 10th anniversary of the station becoming independent and employee-owned.

We’ll see you on the road!
