UPDATE:  Central Saanich Police confirm missing 26-year-old tourist from New Zealand has been located. 

Central Saanich Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a missing tourist from New Zealand.

26-year-old Giuliano Passeri  was last seen on Friday, July 6 at 11:30 p.m. at Island View Beach in Central Saanich. He was last heard from on Saturday, July 7 at about 11:30 a.m. He has not contacted his immediate family since, which is described as out of character for him.

Passeri is a white male with olive toned skin, 5’7”, approximately 150 pounds, with a slim build. He has short brown hair, facial hair on his chin, brown eyes, and a mole on his left cheek. He has several tattoos including a Joker on his right forearm and Latin script on his left forearm.

He was last seen wearing a red Blue Jays baseball hat with a maple leaf on the front, a black Puma sweatshirt, black shorts, and blue Nike flip-flops. He was carrying a large red backpack and a small navy backpack.
