Thousands of people lined Douglas Street Monday morning to take part in an Island tradition.

“It’s awesome that we still have stuff going on like this today. Just really brings everyone together. It’s a nice happy day for everyone to share.”

Making waves in the community for more than a century, this year’s Island Farms Victoria Day Parade was no exception.

The parade began with a touching tribute and all eyes glued to the sky.

Two CF-18 Hornets flew overhead in honour of the Humboldt, Saskatchewan, community.

With 93 entries in this year’s parade, there was everything from massive marching bands, to extravagant floats and delightful dancers, there was never a dull moment.

You can relive the parade or watch it for the first time this Sunday at 2 p.m. on CHEK.
