Campbell River RCMP took two males into custody after they allegedly were brandishing a gun in the 1400-block of Island Highway. The gun was found to be a pellet gun, which police place with a real gun in the picture, asking “would you be able to identify the real gun from the imitation?”
Weapons charges are being recommended after two males provided a scare in Campbell River with a pellet gun.
RCMP say two males were seen brandishing a gun in the 1400-block of Island Highway and then were located inside Walmart.
The pair were identified quickly and taken into custody without incident.
“The weapon seized was later found to be a pellet gun.” Campbell River Cpl. Ron Vlooswyk said.
“At a glance, would you be able to identify the real gun from the imitation?”
The matter is still under investigation.
