WATCH: Firefighters after extinguishing a bus fire at Mount Newton Cross Road and East Saanich Road.
A bus fire was quickly extinguished in Saanichton Wednesday afternoon.
Capt. Brennan Gummer with the Central Saanich Fire Department said they were called to the fire at Mount Newton Cross Road and East Saanich Road at 3:15 p.m. When firefighters arrived, everyone was out of the bus. The firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire in the rear of the bus.
Gummer said there were no injuries and a BC Transit supervisor dealt with the passengers and drivers.
BC Transit confirmed it will do an internal review of the fire.
