BCCDC adds Dec. 8 flight to Victoria to its COVID-19 exposure list

A Dec. 8 Air Canada Jazz flight from Vancouver to Victoria has been added to the BC Centre for Disease Control exposure list.

A flight that recently landed at Victoria International Airport has been added to the province’s COVID-19 exposure list.

The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) is warning passengers who were on board Air Canada Jazz flight 8081 from Vancouver to Victoria on Dec. 8 of possible exposure to COVID-19.

The affected rows, which the BCCDC identifies passengers of being at a higher risk of exposure due to their proximity to the case, is not reported at this time.

The flight was added to the BCCDC’s exposure list on Tuesday evening.

 

AC-8081 was among a handful of recent flights that either originated or departed Vancouver International Airport that were added to the list Tuesday.

Passengers who were recently on a domestic or international flight that has been added to the province’s COVID-19 exposure list should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, according to the BCCDC.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, headache and fatigue.
