
The Spirit of British Columbia is delayed by 64 minutes after it was held in the dock at Swartz Bay due to its second mechanical issue in one week.
On Twitter, BC Ferries said the vessel was being held due to an issue with the supply doors.

Shortly after 2 p.m., the company updated that the issue has been resolved and the ferry departed 64 minutes late.

On Dec. 2, the same vessel was delayed several hours after the anchor unexpectedly deployed while it was passing Galiano and Mayne islands.

BC Ferries’ website has warnings on the remaining sailings of the day for the Spirit of BC that a mechanical issue will cause ongoing delays.
The vessel was scheduled for 3 and 7 p.m. departures from Tsawwassen and 5 and 9 p.m. departures from Swartz Bay which have been impacted.
