With repairs to a damaged vessel underway, BC Ferries has cancelled some sailings between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen until May 15.

The Spirit of British Columbia, that sails between Victoria and Vancouver, is out of service due to rubbing strake damage while trying to dock in high winds at the Tsawwassen terminal April 27.

Until it is ready to return to the fleet, BC Ferries has cancelled some sailings during that time.

From Swartz Bay:

  • Monday May 6 – 6 a.m., 10 a.m.
  • Tuesday May 7 – 12 p.m.
  • Thursday May 9 – 12 p.m.
  • Monday May 13 – 6 a.m., 10 a.m.
  • Tuesday May 14 – 12 p.m.

From Tsawwassen:

  • Monday May 6 – 8 a.m., 12 p.m.
  • Sunday May 12 – 10 p.m.
  • Monday May 13 – 8 a.m., 12 p.m.

The latest travel advisory for the route is available here.

BC Ferries says all customers on cancelled sailings are being advised by email of their booking being cancelled and moved on a later sailing, where possible.

Cancelled reservations will have fees fully refunded.
