Live music is returning to the backyard of a popular Victoria brewery.

Phillips Brewing announced Wednesday it will be hosting three separate two-day music concert festivals in the backyard of their brewery on Government Street.

The three festivals, called Glitterbomber, Tilt! and Implosion Explosion, feature a mixture of international and Canadian international headliners mixed with Canadian talent and local artists. Festivals are scheduled for May, July and August.

Phillips had planned to go ahead with a backyard concert series last summer but opted against it due to rising COVID-19 cases, lockdowns and restrictions.

“Bringing live music back to the brewery means that we are able to gather with our community that has been so incredible to support us through the last two years,” company founder Matt Phillips said in a press release.

Glitterbomber will take place on May 14-15 and features a range of artists including Future Islands, Bryce Vine, Durand Jones and The Indications, The Zolas, Begonia, and Astrocolor.

Tilt! will take place on July 9-10 and features The Beaches, Half Moon Run, Current Swell, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Fleece, Hotel Mira, Old Soul Rebel, and Witch Prophet.

Implosion Explosion will be held on Aug. 13-14 and features St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Charlotte Day Wilson, Sampa the Great, Andy Shauf, Zella Day, Carmanah, and Nicky Mackenzie.

All tickets go on sale Friday, March 4, at 10 a.m. Single-day tickets for all days are $70. Weekend passes are $125 for each weekend, and 6-pack (3 weekend pass) passes are $330.
