Passengers of B.C. Transit will get to have their say on development plans to service the Jubilee and Burnside/Tillicum areas.
B.C. Transit will start a series of open houses Thursday aimed to seek input to develop Local Area Transit Plans specific to those two zones.
Feedback will be used to help the corporation develop recommendations to the Victoria Regional Transit Commission on how to improve existing services and identify future needs specific to those neighbourhoods.
An open house for the Burnside/Tillicum area takes place tonight from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the lower level bus stop at Tillicum Centre.
Two other events will take place November 14 at the Camosun College Campus Centre Courtyard from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and the Royal Oak Transit Exchange from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
For Jubilee riders, the first open houses are November 15 at the University of Victoria Exchange from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and at Camosun College’s Lansdowne Campus from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
There will be another input session November 22 at Oak Bay Rec Centre on Bee Street from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
