If you haven’t downloaded your B.C. vaccine card, you better do so now.

That’s because starting today, the province’s vaccine card will be considered the only acceptable proof of vaccination to attend businesses and recreational events.

The vaccine card became available to download on Sept. 13.

The provincial government had given people a two-week transition period that allowed individuals to present their vaccine records from their immunization appointments instead of the vaccine card.

However, that transition period ended Sunday night and provincial health orders will require people to use the B.C. vaccine card in order to dine at restaurants and attend indoor recreational events beginning Monday.

More than three million people in B.C. have already received their vaccine card, according to the provincial government.
