B.C. reports 322 new COVID-19 cases, nine deaths

British Columbia health officials are reporting an additional 322 COVID-19 cases and nine deaths since their last update on Tuesday.

The number of confirmed cases in B.C. climbs to 216,334 while the province’s death toll now stands at 2,313.

Of the new cases, 50 were recorded in Vancouver Coastal Health, 100 were in Fraser Health, 42 in Island Health, 86 in Interior Health, and  44 in Northern Health.

There are currently 3,015 active cases in the province and 318 people in hospital — 109 of whom are in intensive care.

A total of 210,828 people in B.C. have recovered from COVID-19 while 8,587,520 doses of vaccine have been administered province-wide.
