Two arsons and one suspicious fire within a few blocks of each other are being investigated by Victoria Police detectives, though it has not been determined if the fires are linked.
The three fires occurred on June 16, 23 and July 2 within blocks of each other.
The first was the fire that seriously damaged Ricky’s All Day Grill on June 16. Days after the fire, investigators deemed the fire to be an arson.

Then, on June 23 another fire occurred that has been deemed an arson. This one occurred in the 2500 block of Government Street and it caused significant damage to a vehicle at a car rental business, according to police.
The third fire also occurred in the 2500 block of Government Street, and this fire has been deemed suspicious while investigators work to determine a cause. This fire happened at an unoccupied residence and no one was injured in the fire.

In a release, VicPD says there have not been any arrests made in these fires and the investigation remains underway. Additionally, it has not yet been determined if there is a link between the three fires.
