UPDATE: Edmonton Police say an Amber Alwrt has been cancelled after a missing 8-year-old boy was been found unharmed in Calgary. His mother has been arrested
An off-duty Calgary Police officer spotted the vehicle she was driving around 5:30 a.m
She was arrested by RCMP in Okotoks and remains in custody. She faces a charge of abduction under the Criminal Code, Section 283(1).
The boy will be returned to his father.
He had been missing since Friday afternoon when police say he was taken by his mother from an elementary school in Edmonton’s east end.
