A pitcher worth a thousand words: Beer flows into Victoria street from downtown brewery

Trouble was brewing in downtown Victoria Wednesday afternoon.

At around 2:45 p.m., reports started coming in that beer from a tank at Phillips Brewery was pouring into Government Street at Pembroke Street. Staff members could be seen cleaning up the spill shortly after, using a hose and a broom to direct some of the liquid outside the brewery into the storm drain.

The cause of the spill has not been confirmed by the company.
