Thanks to a strong ridge of high pressure anchored over B.C.’s south coast, Vancouver Island can expect plenty of sunshine over the next few days.
There is a chance of a few scattered showers on Saturday for some regions, but the precipitation will be short-lived, with sunshine returning Sunday.
Daytime highs are expected to reach the mid-teens, with overnight lows anywhere from 10 degrees down to 6 or 7.
Victoria Day Monday is forecast to be sunny with a few cloudy periods with highs up to 21 degrees in Victoria and Nanaimo, with inland regions such as the Alberni Valley expected to reach 25.
