Mounties in Nanaimo are asking the public for help in identifying two people accused of stealing from Cabela's in Nanaimo on Feb. 4.

Mounties in Nanaimo are asking the public for help in identifying two people accused of stealing from an outdoor recreation store.

Nanaimo RCMP say a man and a woman allegedly stole a set of walkie-talkies and headset from Cabela’s located on North Island Highway shortly after 5 p.m. on Feb. 4.

The two entered the store, browsed around, then found the items and placed them into a purse, according to the RCMP, who say the two then walked out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.

RCMP say they were notified about the incident by the store’s loss prevention officer.
