It was a succesful day for the Canadian men on the tennis courts at Wimbledon.
In the singles category both Milos Raonic and Felix Auger-Aliassime won their matches in order to move on to the third round of the Grand Slam tournament in England.
Raonic, the No. 15 seed, tallied 32 aces en route to beating Robin Haase of the Netherlands in straight-sets, marking his second straight-sets win in a row. At one point Raonic did call an injury timeout to nurse a left calf injury, but he would return to finish the match.

The native of Thornhill, Ontario has had strong showings at Wimbledon in the past having finished as the runner-up in 2016, while making the quarterfinals in both 2017 and 2018. He is set to square off against USA’s Reilly Opelka on Friday, who is ranked No. 63.
Just days after winning his first-ever career match at the main draw of Wimbledon, Auger-Aliassime, the No. 19 seed from Montreal, defeated Corentin Moutet of France in the second round, winning 4-2.

The 18-year old phenom, who is playing in his first ever Grand Slam tournament, will play No. 66-ranked Ugo Humbert of France in his third round match-up.
