WATCH: Twenty-year-old Caileigh Filmer from Victoria was a part of the women’s coxless pairs boat that captured gold at the World Rowing World Cup in Serbia over the weekend.
Filmer, paired with Hilary Janssens, put the entire regatta on notice on Saturday with a convincing victory in the semi-finals and cruised to a victory over Spain in the finals with a blazing time of 6:58:88. Filmer is a Mount Doug High School graduate and is currently studying at the University of Victoria.
