WATCH: The Saanich Braves managed to push the series to seven games, but the powerhouse Campbell River Storm were simply too much to handle.

The Storm toppled the Braves 6-0 in game 7 at Rod Brind’amour Arena on Saturday night, capturing their third VIJHL Championship in four years.

The Storm outscored the Braves 10-0 in games six and seven, capping off an impressive comeback after falling three games to two earlier in the series.

“Just surreal,” Storm captain Dylan McCann said after the win. “We knew tonight was going to be a hard-fought game, honestly all series was hard fought, kudos to Saanich they came out so hard and they gave us more than we could’ve bargained for in the first little while of the series, but couldn’t be more happier.”

The Storm advance to the Cyclone Taylor Cup, which pits the best Junior B teams from across British Columbia against eachother.

The tournament begins on April 14th in Richmond.
