WATCH: Victoria’s Mckenzie Smith had a big day on the diamond with the Concordia Cavaliers from Portland, Ore. Smith, who started her softball career at Layritz Little League, is a product of the Lambrick Park Softball Academy and the Victoria Fastball Club. She led her team to a big win over the Western Washington Vikings in Bellingham on Sunday – pitching the entire game.

Smith also hit a giant grand-slam home run to give the Cavaliers a 4-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning. The team held on for the 4-3 win. The Cavs are 12-9 on the season, with Smith hitting 323 with 14 RBI’s. Mckenzie has an earned run average of 2.74 in the circle. The victory in Bellingham moves her to 5 and 1 on the season so far.
