West Shore RCMP hope to identify two suspects they say stole $16,000 worth of electronics from a Colwood store.

West Shore RCMP are searching for two suspects who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of electronics from a Colwood store late last month.

Mounties are investigating the theft from the Island Highway London Drugs that saw a man and a woman enter the store around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 26th, according to RCMP.

“The male suspect pried open the lock on the electronic cabinet,” RCMP said in a news release, noting the suspects then made off with approximately $16,000 in electronics.

The male suspect, described as light-skinned, was caught on surveillance camera wearing a blue T-shirt, black pants, a black baseball cap and black sneakers at the time of the theft.

The female suspect, meanwhile, is described as light-skinned and wore a dark face mask, a white baseball cap, a cap-sleeved white shirt and black pants. She had her hair styled in a braid.

RCMP have released photos of the suspects in hopes anyone with information will call them at 250-474-2264. Tipsters can remain anonymous by contacting Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
