Island Health has added seven Greater Victoria schools to their COVID-19 exposure list.

The schools each experienced potential exposures on multiple days at the start of November, according to the health authority.

A list of the schools can be found below:

  • École Macaulay, located on Wychbury Avenue in Victoria, experienced exposures on Nov. 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • Glandford Middle School, located on Glanford Avenue in Victoria, experienced exposures on Nov. 2, 3 and 4.
  • Monterey Middle School, located on Monterey Avenue in Victoria, experienced exposures on Nov. 1, 2 and 3.
  • Rogers Elementary, located on Rogers Avenue in Victoria, experienced exposures on Nov. 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • Wishart Elementary, located on Wishart Road in Victoria, experienced exposures on Nov. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • Brentwood Bay Elementary, located on Wallace Drive in Brentwood Bay, experienced exposures on Nov. 3 and 4.
  • Bayside Middle School, located on Newton Place in Brentwood Bay, experienced exposures on Nov. 4 and 5.

An exposure is defined by Island Health as a single person with a lab-confirmed COVID-19 infection who attended school during their infectious period.

Island Health says a child can continue to attend school if a parent or guardian does not receive a phone call or letter from public health.

Should a parent or guardian see a notification on Island Health’s school exposure site, it does not necessarily mean their child has been exposed to COVID-19.
