

Police closed traffic on Tyndall Avenue Saturday morning after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
A 62-year-old Saanich resident who was hit by a vehicle Saturday morning has died of her injuries, according to Saanich police.
Police said the woman died at approximately 10:30 a.m. and the investigation into Saturday’s collision is continuing. They will not be releasing her identity at this time

The woman was struck happened at around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Tyndall Avenue and Kenmore Road, and Saanich police said Monday morning it appears the woman was in the crosswalk at the time she was hit.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the southbound vehicle stayed at the scene and has fully co-operated with investigators.
Saanich police are asking any witnesses of the crash or who may have information that might help investigators to call them at 250-475-4321.
