A 50-year-old woman from Vancouver was allegedly intoxicated and driving around Oak Bay on the final day of March.

According to the Oak Bay Police Department, an officer pulled over a 2017 BMW 330i driving around in the 2500-block of Cadboro Bay Road at 4:41 p.m. on March 31, following reports of a possibly impaired motorist.

After stopping the luxury German sedan and conducting a short investigation, the officer determined that the woman was impaired by liquor.

The woman was then issued a 90-day driving prohibition and her vehicle was impounded for 30-days.

Oak Bay Police say they don’t know whether the woman remained on Vancouver Island with friends or family or has since returned to Vancouver.
