An earthquake struck more than 300 kilometres southwest of Vancouver Island on Tuesday.
According to the United States Geological Survey’s website, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck about 325 kilometres southwest of Tofino at 4:25 p.m.
The quake was recorded at a depth of 10-kilometres in the Cascadia Basin, near an area called the Juan de Fuca Ridge.
A tsunami alert has not been issued.
