A 37-year-old man is dead following a collision on Denman Island Sunday night.
Comox Valley RCMP responded to the single-vehicle collision in the 3800 block of Denman Road at 10:50 p.m. The provincial ambulance service and the Denman Island Fire Department also went to the crash.
Police said the male driver, who was from Denman Island, was dead at the scene. According to police, speed appears to have been a factor in the fatal crash.
The BC Coroners Service and the Vancouver Island Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service are still investigating the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321 and cite file number 2017-12448.
