It was a morning filled with small tremors in an area near Mount St. Helens in Washington Wednesday.
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) reported the day started with a 3.9 magnitude earthquake at 12:36 a.m. east of Spirit Lake.

There have been 20 tremors since in the area ranging from 0.5 to 2.7 in magnitude.
The last in the swarm of quakes happened just after 9 a.m. with a magnitude of 1.4.
There have been a number of small earthquakes reported since the start of the new year, including in areas near Victoria.

The PNSN reported a small earthquake Monday night only 1.1 kilometres from the southwest coastline of Discovery Island before 7 p.m.
