West Shore RCMP have arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly exposed his genitals and made sexual advances toward two women in Langford.

At around 8:30 a.m., police said they received a report of a man wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue sweatpants with white stripes on its side who approached a woman in the parking lot at 2700 Grainger Road. Police said the man pulled down his pants to expose his genitals while making sexual advances toward the woman.

The woman walked away after the incident.

Then at 8:30 a.m., the same suspect allegedly approached another woman at Goldstream Provincial Park. Police said he made sexual advances and grabbed her buttocks. The woman then fought the suspect off and called police.

A few minutes later, officers went to the park and arrested the suspect. The suspect has no fixed address.

“The detailed description that was provided and the timely report to police was key in locating and arresting this suspect,” Cst. Alex Bérubé, spokesperson for the West Shore RCMP, said in a statement.

“That prompt call to police likely prevented further harm to other women.”

According to RCMP, the suspect is still in custody while officers continue to investigate. Police have not released his name at this time.
