One man has died following a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV in Highlands Thursday morning.
West Shore RCMP, B.C. Ambulance Service and Highlands Fire Rescue were called to the crash on Millstream Road near Stewart Mountain Road at around 7:30 a.m. Police said the driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. He later died from his injuries. The driver of the SUV was not seriously injured.
Millstream Road near Stewart Mountain Road was closed to traffic following the collision and reopened at 12:20 p.m. The South Island Traffic Services Collision Analyst and the West Shore RCMP Traffic Section examined the collision scene and will be interviewing witnesses.
Police have not released the name of the motorcyclist at this time.
