Update: West Shore RCMP release sketch of suspect

 

West Shore RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating an assault on a woman by a stranger in Langford.

At around 1:30 pm on Friday, a 35 year old woman was walking her dog on Humpback Rd when a red Volkswagen Rabbit pulled up beside her.

The male driver tried to initiate a conversation and then reached through an opened window and grabbed the victim’s arm.

Luckily, the woman’s dog reacted by biting the suspect’s arm.  Police say the dog was a rottweiler.

The victim was able to run away and the suspect took off in the opposite direction.

She was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 40-45 years old
  • Wearing a white button shirt
  • Acne scared face
  • Mole on the left side of his face

The vehicle is described as:

  • Diesel 80’s Volkswagen Rabbit
  • Rust Colour Primer Red

Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this vehicle or suspect in that area,
